We have been honoured with TWO 2025 Communicator Awards
Luminate Communications is proud to announce that we have won Communicator Awards Award of Distinction for our work on two non-profit annual reports last year.
This global competition honours excellence, effectiveness, and innovation across all areas of communication. This season, the Communicator Awards celebrated the various connections forged through communication and honoured the diverse and impactful ways in which every medium can deliver new stories, new products, new cultures, and new experiences.
The first award was for our work on John Howard Society of Peel-Halton-Dufferin’s (JHS PHD) report. Dedicated to creating safer communities by supporting people who have been involved with the criminal justice system, JHS PHD often struggles with successfully expressing the importance and impact of their work. Using their five core beliefs — human rights, justice for all, access to services, empowerment, and community engagement — we strategically told stories to emphasize the message that everyone belongs here.
The second award was for Esquimalt Nation’s annual report; a small First Nation community in B.C. They wanted a report that showcased the significant strides they had made in realizing the initiatives in their five-year Comprehensive Community Plan. More than simply highlighting statistics and data, we strategically told a story that emphasized the positive impact of their work on community members.
We are grateful for the faith and trust these clients (and all of our clients!) put in us to tell their stories and we’re very honoured to be recognized for this incredible work of creating annual reports that truly connect with audiences.
Your non-profit annual report is more than a recap of the last year — it’s a strategic tool to communicate the impact you’ve made and to inspire your community about what comes next. Download our guide to creating effective annual reports here, or get in touch for support with yours today!
