Repurpose content: How-to feed your content marketing machine
In our last blog post, we wrote about how regular content creation does not need to be daunting. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by the amount of digital marketing content small business owners and small non-profit organizations need to create, the key is to reuse and repurpose content across multiple audience touch points.
In that post, we showed how one blog post can feed both email campaigns and a social media strategy.
There are many different ways to approach a reuse and repurpose content marketing strategy. Here’s another one — use print or digital content created for an entirely different reason to feed your content marketing strategy
Have a lot of blog posts? Consider re-editing them into a free downloadable guide
This may sound like an idea just for small business owners but even non-profit organizations can benefit — take a series of blogs on how your audience can help your community, for example, and turn it into a donor giving guide.
Wrote a book? Break it up into blog posts
As a small business owner, if you have written and published a book related to your field of expertise, you have already spent hours upon hours creating content. Don’t waste that content on just your book-loving audience. Break it down into bite-size pieces to create dozens of new blog posts. And, don’t forget to reuse those new blog posts as e-newsletters and social media posts!
Transform blog posts into video content
Audiences love video — especially on social media. Give them what they want by taking a blog post, and talking about it on video. You don’t even need a fancy video marketing team as today’s social media reels tend be shot on smartphones. Here are five tips to help you look your best on video.
Turn presentations or reports into easy-to-digest graphics
Have a stat-heavy presentation or report? Hire a graphic designer to turn some of that info into an infographic. Infographics are popular shares on social media because they draw people in and convey information quickly. Before hiring a graphic designer, here are six things you need to know.
Or, choose stats that don’t need a lot of context and use Canva to create a series of social media visuals.
